My name is Maggie Bohr. I am a medical student from Michigan where I currently attend Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. I am very excited to be applying to orthopaedic surgery residency this year and I look forward to having more opportunities to continue supporting like-minded women interested in pursuing a career in orthopaedics.

I am an orthopaedic surgeon in Whistler and Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.
I have subspecialty training in shoulder, elbow and knee surgery. I provide urgent orthopaedic assessment and am working to increase access to local urgent and elective surgery within our rural community. Athletic injuries are of particular interest as I also seek to be athletically active throughout my lifetime.

I completed my medical and orthopaedic residency training at the University of Toronto. My first fellowship was in athletic injury, upper extremity and arthroscopic orthopaedic surgery at the University of British Columbia. My second fellowship was an AO trauma fellowship with a focus on knee injuries at University Hospital in Geneva, Switzerland. I am a clinical instructor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of British Columbia. I have a lifelong passion for sport. I have enjoyed being athletically active throughout my life. My goal is to help others do the same.

I am a physician member of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team medical group. I was also the Chief of Medical for the Men's Alpine Skiing events at the 2010 Olympics in Whistler. I was previously the Co-Chief of Medical for the 2008 Alpine World Cup and the 2009 Para-Alpine World Cup.
